Dave Donohue was shortlisted for the Stockport Schools Book Award 2007.
More great news! Moon Man has been included as part of the School Library Association’s Books for Boy’s initiative! This ties in with the government’s National Year of Reading and means that state funded secondary schools with Key Stage 3 boys on their roll can select up to 20 free books from a booklist created by the School Library Association (the books are funded by the DFES).
For more information on the initiative or to view the whole booklist please visit the SLA’s website at the link below:

Here are some of the responses from attendees at David's previous events:
‘David's summary and talk of Moon Man was terrific. He was clever, age-appropriate, engaging. The girls loved his presentation! I also particularly liked that he discussed how you can turn a struggle (his dyslexia) into a strength. A great role-model and very motivating!’
Tina Henderson Spence School, Manhattan
‘(David’s) presentation was well planned, well paced, consistently interactive and lots of fun for the children. He pushed them into a higher level of spelling backwards than we have been able to with forward spelling the entire year. I am going to use that strategy next year when we teach word study.’
Jennifer Hardy, Brooklyn New School
